Some people know from the start what they were meant to do in life.  In my case, I have always known it would be architecture.  While other children were drawing unicorns, cars, or explosions, I was documenting the houses on my street.  My favourite toy for years was Lego, the old-school variety with random pieces, where the imagination had to invent what would be built.

After completing my Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Waterloo, I spent time working and learning with renowned firms such as KPMB, Acton-Ostry Architects and Levitt-Goodman Architects to name a few.  A personal passion of mine is 3D visualization, a skill which I bring to every design project and which has proven to be an invaluable tool in communicating design ideas to clients, engineers, and contractors.

In 2009 I decided to design and build my own house.  By the end of it, I could have written a novel about the process, but instead I decided it was time to start my own practice so that I could share my gained insight with people who are embarking on similar projects.

Besides architecture, I am an exhibited furniture designer, and an award winning photographer.  I find the tactile, spatial, and visual arts all inform each other, and each one has enabled me to become a more complete artist.  I find inspiration exploring mountains and forests with my family, mountain biking with my dogs, and composing and producing music.

I feel lucky to say that my passion is designing houses, and I look forward to sharing it with you!
